You expect capital/big cities to be crowded, right? You expect to see people walk everywhere you can see, and there are a lot of people around you.
Well, in Finland it doesn’t work this way. Helsinki, the capital city of Finland, is not crowded at all. You won’t see a huge people crowd. Also, in Turku, which is the second biggest city of Finland, there are not that much people. Of course, sometimes when people are getting home for example, it is busier, but that’s it.
In Amsterdam, the capital city of the Netherlands, it is really crowded. You see people everywhere you see, and you need to watch your steps, because otherwise you will bump into someone.
On one side it makes sense, because the Netherlands has 3 times as much inhabitants than Finland (NL 17,18 million, Finland 5,513 million), while Finland is 8 times as big (NL 51.534 km2, Finland 338.424 km2). The Netherlands is much more populous compared to Finland.
